for those who still play the game... a couple of observations concerning this week's calender...

today's IPO, Forbidden Planet... from the description, going into detail about the Tempest, wow, if they do this thing right, and the 'remake' finally gets done, this could be a classic !
this week's IPO of the 47 ronin... i'm wondering, if this is a take on the Japanese legend of a samurai who was tricked into a bad situation and was forced by the upper-types in Tokyo to commit ritualistic suicide, and the men who followed him were expected to do likewise, but they accepted 'public shame', when in reality they were hanging low until the moment they felt it right to avenge their master's death. and then, when it was over, they honerably followed their master in ritualistic suicide... i've always thought this legend would have been great material for an awesome film if they did it right... someone call up Ken Wantanabe :)
and finally, sat's IPO about the king of the elves... sounds vaguely familiar to a book i read years ago about a pair of young siblings who were being threatened by some evil elves and one got kidnapped or some such, and the other had a stone with a naturally-formed hole in the center that served as a protective device for the child... does this sound even remotely familiar to anyone?
