So, the founder and president of our little charity e-mailed his resignation yesterday.

And I am extremely conflicted about it.
On the one hand, I think we do great and important work in our limited sphere of influence. We were finally getting to a size of some respectability. With him resigning, I would likely be the only logical choice to replace him as president, which, that couldn't hurt the resume, right?
On the other hand, most (read: all) of the other staff members (read: my friends) are lazy and don't do shit. The president and I combined for probably 80% of the work we did this last year, and so that would either fall on me or need to get picked up by people who have demonstrated that they can't.
So, should I give it a shot? Recommend disbanding the company? I'm very torn.
