Unlike a lot of people, I don't think that helps other sports all that much.

I don't see a lot of NFL fans deciding that there isn't enough parity so they'll give the NHL a shot. And if they turn away for that reason and do decide to spend that time watching the NBA or MLB they won't keep watching for long.
And I could be wrong. Some people want the NFL to go back to the days of the same teams winning ever year.
