Thinking about it more, I think I would have liked X-Men: First Class more had they trusted the audience's knowledge of history more. (spoilers)

I think a lot of the issue with it dragging for me had to do with them trying to explain Shaw's Cuban Missile Crisis plan when it was obvious what was going on very early in the film. It didn't help that those scenes also involved January Jones, who I'm still stunned at how bad she was. Is she actually good in Mad Men?
