It wasn't said. It came out of him having a lot of personal integrity.

I have no idea if he cheated. He held slaves, so his rhetoric already didn't match his actions.

But I think we *should* expect integrity from our elected officials. I think they should be held to a higher standard entirely because we are handing them a great deal of power.

If you cannot be trusted to be faithful in your private life then you cannot be trusted to be faithful in your public life.
