I've never gotten invested in continuity. Ever. It always seemed a waste. So I concentrated on the stories at hand. I'll do the same here

I expect I'll enjoy a great deal of the new stuff.
But it's not giving me much incentive to read my current backlog since none of it will matter in 3 months.
