Son of the Demon wasn't... then it was. DC's irritating like that.

There's no reason for Killing Joke to have been continuity, until they decided it was. Similarly, Hawkworld shouldn't have been in continuity, but then it was, and that's where the Hawkman fuck up really started. There's no reason to believe it won't be just as fucked up after the relaunch. DC seems to have no common sense when it comes to continuity and how messing with it just causes more problems down the line, leading to shit like this.
