she's mildly claustrophobic (was in an elevator that dropped) so she went in early and asked for a sedative
turns out that it was loud and made a whole bunch of different noises but wasn't actually scary (of course, that could have been because of the sedative)
also depends on the make of the machine. some are more enclosed than others.
