TTIS&F&MIIM: About how many words are in one page of single-spaced text?

(TTIS&F and Max is ignoring me)

I want to assign a paper, but use words as a unit of measurement instead of pages.

Responses:

in the old dot-matrix days 80 columns x 66 lines (60 with margins IIRC). About 5 or 6 characters per word (12 to 15 per line) times 60. -- nm - zork Jan 5, 13:42 1
