Zion National Park or Bryce Canyon? If you could go to just one (in a day) which would it be?

Thinking about / pre-planning our Vegas trip and intend to take a day to see one of those. Wife said she read that it's possible to do both in a day, but don't want to rush too much so one of those is more likely.
