They never did the second test.

They were going to anyway just to double check, but the surgeon came in and basically echoed my thoughts ("even if she was, and they tested her and she isn't, it's a tumor, that is growing, in her chest, so what does it matter really? we're doing surgery today either way.") it made me like the surgeon a little more, honestly. we run into precious few people that can keep things instantly in perspective like that, and not hem and haw trying to come up with a solution that is 100% safe for every outcome when it's clearly obvious that we don't have that luxury.
