sorry to hear about your friend. that is the kind of stuff that should never happen. I think you are doing the right things - let her vent, push her to move on.
more then likely the friend will stay married - so she should likely cut ties with the husband. sad but true. They both may be tempted to " even the score" - which even emotionally and not physically is not a good thing. they may feel bonded - it is just asking for trouble.
she may want to know why? why? - he can not help her with that - guys are just dicks some times.
you are doing the best you can for her. good luck.
