A few weeks ago, a friend of mine from college IM'd me and was all "we should totally hang out for your birthday! :)" I thought it was a great idea but kinda had forgotten about it until she e-mailed me this week saying it was getting so much closer to my birthday (July 4th) that we need to work out the details. So we're now trying to figure out which of us is making the 5 1/2 hour drive either to or from Rochester.

After a few years out of contact in the pre social-networking days, we reconnected via myspace/facebook about 4 years ago and finally saw each other for the first time in 10 years last November when she crashed here for a night on her way back home from spending a few days in NYC (no, nothing happened that night). She's had a few boyfriends over the years but is presently single and has been for a while. Yes, I've always had a bit of a crush on her.

So uh, the question is: is "we should totally meet up" code for "we're totally going to hook up when we do this?"
