My 5 year old projection tv started to go green a little. Contacted them to find out what the part might be. Found out it was mfg defect and they offered me a 40" LED LCD 3D for 50.00, a 46" LED LCD no 3d for 0.00 or the 55" LCD LED for 675. I took the latter.
1.5 weeks later the KDL 55NX810 showed up at my house. Its amazing but I noticed 2 sorta greyish spots on the screen. I called Sony the guy I got told me to schedule a service call. I did but emailed the original rep about the bummerness of it. She emailed back - thats wrong. By end of day called me and said they were going to white glove service me the KDL 55NX720 (this years model of the first one) at no charge and pick up the other 55" - It arrives tomorrow after only a week.
I will admit I love Sony now and will probably always buy their TV - was amazing. To go with TV bought a sony subwoofer. I will admit tho my new AMP/Reciever is Yamaha RXV667 at the time it was 440 on amazon but found it at best buy on clearance and open box for 290. Seems like pretty awesome amp for the money - now just need to find a good speaker system that doesnt cost a fortune.
