I agree. I dont expect the first season to exceed the first book but its been a while since I read them. new one comes July. (spolier inside)

Are you referring to the event where Ned just accepts his fate and well the event happens to him?
Also if I remember right Kat has something bad happen something pretty horrific happen book 2 or 3?
Those kids are pretty well screwed in that area. love Jon and Robb - and sword daughter they are so robust as characters . The Imp is by far one of the most dynamic and intriguing characters I have ever seen
