saying 'so glad you all came out to preview my film, hope you like it, tell others, blah blah blah.'

okay, that's new, but makes sense.

THEN they put a graphic on the screen that said "TWEET FROM YOUR SEAT! #super8themovie"

Are you KIDDING me? They are encouraging in-movie texting at previews??

the guy beside me actually said "Oh hell NO!" out loud.
