Pancreatic cancer. Nasty stuff (SELL!), although his version was not so nasty (BUY!) although a hormone imbalance could indicate a recurrence (SELL!)

As absurd as all this is, it's indicative of how closely tied Apple's success is to its CEO. The company has failed to present a viable (and appealing) succession plan for CEO. Jobs may just have the common cold, but since Apple is so closely tied to him, every time he sneezes, the company gets a shiver.
