David, no one who knows anything about drafts thinks 2002 was a weak draft. No one.

except those trying to protect Billy Beane from missing on a pennant winning pitching staff.

He coulda had Hamels, Blanton or Cain, Josh Johnson, Jon Lester...

and still had room left over for Joey Votto and Brian McCann and Curtis Granderson.

There's already MVPs in this group, with a high potential for at least another 1-2. There's potential for 2-3 Cy Youngs in it.

And that's not counting the catcher you love.
