Wow, that's tough. That was certainly the rule in our house growing up. But that's when there was one phone, on the wall, in the other room.


I reckon there should be a casual and friendly way to lay down the policy before dinner. I can't imagine pointing to someone reaching for a ringing phone in their pocket and saying "Hey! Jackwagon! Hands where I can see 'em!"
