In response to "The jump from X-Men to X-2: X-Men United is one of the most dramatic I've ever seen in a franchise." by David

If you want to discuss X1 vs X2 we can do that (we can fight that one out another time) but that's not really what we were doing...

If you want to talk scenes you guys missed Wolverine's introduction in X1. It introduced the most popular character in the Marvel universe and therefor likely all of comic books and does it very well. You immediately know what the character is. You know that he's a tortured, confused self-loather with a past who is nearly indestructible.

It also features one of the coolest single shots in any comic book movie. It comes after Wolverine has won his latest cage match and smokes a victory cigar. It's a large headshot done in blues and purples with the character in profile with smoke billowing around him. It's gorgeous. It doesn't look real it's so well done.

What were you guys going for when you picked your list because it seems to be skewed towards the action versus the action with meaning. The X choice coming to mind. It's pretty and thrilling but really...it doesn't matter.
