So we know my power brick died. I ordered a new one from Ebay, and it arrived, plugged in, worked fine for playing the game, however....
On Saturday, my USB charger for the wireless controller would not work. On Sunday I bought a new controller, non wireless, figuring that would solve the problem, but alas, the controller worked fine, but my headset which is also USB did not work (I could hear, but not talk).
My guess is that the brick I got is not delivering enough power to run through all the USB ports. Does that make sense?
I emailed XBox and asked them the question, but who knows how long that will take.
