He's a weird kid.

Yunel has one of the highest baseball IQs I've ever seen and sometimes the talented, immature players are the hardest to get to behave. He was forced to leave Cuba on a raft right when he was about to be an adult and without any parental figures in place, he focused his unhappiness and loneliness on Blauser and some others. When he tries, he has lights out ability. The problem is that when he develops antagonistic relationships, he obsesses on them. Chipper hated that weird whistling noise he would make in the field during plays and asked him to stop. Of course, Yunel countered by doing it as much as possible. He was one of the least liked Braves in the clubhouse since Kenny Lofton.
