The problem is your #2 is a 12 game winner who's usually good for 25 starts a year and needed a torrid 2nd half to finish with an ERA at 4.07.

Repeat. This guy had an ERA in Daniel Cabrera land, who the Orioles for chrissake just cut, until he went hot streak after the All-Star Break.
and the Yanks just paid him 18mil a year, or based on his historical averages, 700k a start and 1.5mil a win.
for a 31 year old pitcher, who the idea of "Potential" long ago shoulda died on the vine into "Reality"
