Again: Wins are meaningless. Saying he's a "12-game winner" means nothing. If he prevents runs, the Yanks benefit, regardless of his record.

This has nothing to do with potential. Burnett, right now, has produced at a rate that makes him a pretty good pitcher. Not that he will be improve and fulfill potential.
He is *wildly* overpaid. No question about that. But the reality is the Yanks were willing to destroy the market demand for him.
