Aerospace is actually a huge industry in town and a major air force base is here as well. There's actually some good ties that developed.

But it's the name itself that is driving. Too much nostalgia and passion for it already.
(Besides, I like the short, crisp "Jets" to pair with our longer football team name "Blue Bombers".)
