& age that make it perfect for when it was made:

1) The Cold War was still on and embedded in the early 80s was an underlying fear of nuclear armageddon (see The Day After, Testament and one other made for TV film that I think mimiced a live newscast - darn I wish I could remember that).

2) The dawn of computing in the home.

Both of these points made for the great "What if?" in this movie.
