pretty much the same for me, one reason is, most of our local clubs are featuring music that the 40yo crowd likes....

a. mature folks are a whole lot easier crowd to deal with, security costs are lower, we order more top shelf drinks.
b. our tastes are well charted and pandered to.
c. musicians who realized they weren't going to be national acts got day jobs to support the family and now, as their kids are maturing, are returning to their old hobby and forming bands.
someone was talking about the music scene around here and why blues is featured so often, if they had anything based on top 40 hits, then they'd have rap hip hop and within a month there would be a shooting in the parking lot and cops and inspectors coming to close them down. Even the 'christian' club that didn't serve alcohol got sued out of existance because of a shooting that left some innocent girl paralysed and the parent sued for the lack of security.
so at least around here, there's not as much 20-30's club action as there is for the 40ish market.
