a few years ago I saw a woman at DCA arguing with an airline agent that she should be allowed to go to the gate with 10 minutes left before takeoff.

this was at the ticket desk. she hadn't gone through security. and she was OUTRAGED and shocked that they weren't letting her through. She was all, "Why don't they tell you that there's such an early cutoff?"
