The point is whether fretting about Greece's debt or Casey Anthony's verdict is the best use of your time.

It's a time-management issue, not some judgment on the media or life values. And I will concede that it seems a very 'selfish' way to live. But yeah, if you do not have enough hours in the day to accomplish what you need to do to be fulfilled professionally and personally, cutting out the CNN would be an excellent first step. That's all.
