Well, if you're on the verge of finishing a big project or clinching that promotion or just not spending enough time with your kid(s), then yeah, I think researching candidates and voting would take a backseat in my schedule.
But yes [to mom's voice in my head], it would be terrible if *everyone* did this. Or jumped off a cliff. ;)
