With the All-Star Break next week, he'll probably only miss two starts.

He would have pitched on Sunday. Then, he would have pitched next Thursday or Friday, around the 15th. Fifteen days on the DL would have him back on the 20th. This is well timed in that regard, assuming he even has to go on the DL. Pujols has messed this up for everybody with his mutant healing factor.
