In response to "right? I'm a great driver - no worries parallel parking - but it holds zero appeal to me to drive it. -- nm" by JenBro

You get used to it. I lived in one for 2 months and travelled all over.

You should've seen both the 1st and lst days. After picking it up at the dealer I had to get on a highway that had just one lane open, with jersey barriers on both sides. I was going so slow I must have backed up traffic for miles. The last day there was another single lane with jersey barriers (different road) and I did it at 55mph.

Then there were all the bridges we had to go under where one of us had to get out to make sure we could go under without hitting the bridge. Then there was the time we parked and dented the roof by hitting an overhang coming off the building in front of us. Then there was the time backing up in the Tetons where the right side mirror came off when it hit a tree. Then there were the nights trying to level the motorhome so the fridge would keep the food cold. And the cold mornings going outside to light the pilot on the water heater and stove. And I could go on. But it ended up being the most memorable 2 months of my life.
