I've been wanting to know this. It wasn't clear during the presentation. Does *NOT* look retroactive.

I expect (hope?) there will be a one-clip "upgrade my collection" option as there is now with iTunes Plus, and if the the song costs the same when it's DRM free, you'll get a DRM free version, if it costs more, you'll be charged the difference, and if it costs less, well, tough, you don't get a refund.
