It'll be hard to find links for that, it's more dependant on hardware and network capacity. The short answer is unlimited given the other 2 factors...

For example: you're only going to service so much transfer with a 100mb LAN no matter how many servers you have[and no matter what operating system they run]. Same with low end hardware.
