into a file server for my place, mainly for backups.
what I want to be able to do is have two drives, with one as the backup of the first, dont care if it is a raid or just a straight up backup of data.
Responses:
Easy to do, even without FreeNAS or Openfiler. I'd go with rsync backups rather than RAID1, then you're as good as your last backup
