So my one year XM subscription was ending this month. I had it for $77 for the year. They sent me a letter saying that they will now start charging me

$12 per month. I called and asked to talk to the Retention dept. I asked if they had any special offers since last time they were able to give me the $77 deal. She said no. I said okay, please cancel my account once my subscription ends this month. Said she wait a min, she will talk to her boss about any promotions. She returns a couple mins later and says that she can give me $9 per month (about $119 for the year). I said no, that is okay, please cancel it. She then goes and gives me the $77 per year price again. Pretty funny.

Good move on their part. It really don't cost them anything extra to keep me.
