sure, context matters. but i still manage to be a productive employee, and our companys' self-governed dress codes don't keep us from being

successful.

i agree that there is absolutely a line that can be crossed, but generally all an employee who dresses inappropriately might be harming is their own career. that crap about people not being mature enough to govern themselves as a whole and stripper heels causing major productivity issues is a bunch of crap ... unless i guess you count employees jumping on a message board during work hours to discuss it ad nauseam. ;)
