If Allred made that deal without explaining it to her client she could face serious disciplinary action.

I can't stand Gloria Allred, but I doubt that's the real story. Since Uchitel would theoretically have been on the hook for her legal fees if not paid, this probably was a benefit to her since she essentially got to pay them out of the money she was returning.
