No, what i'm asking is this, if you're "defending" their town, they can't attack you there, can they?

In other words, can you use a friendly action (defending their town) to keep your troops safe from being attacked; in essence, can they attack allied troops (which is what I assume you'd be viewed as when you're defending their town) that are stationed in their town?
