This is late for me to be asking this, but can anyone think of any new trends that they have noticed over the last year?

I am doing a report for a workshop on Friday and trying to think of new innovations or trends that have happened in 2008. Twitter would be an example of this. Anyone else have any thoughts?
Thanks greatly.
