I've used Priceline's name your own price feature a lot. This trip I needed to book so I could make last minute changes if necessary. I also used cheaphotels.com to compare against Priceline, then used tripadvisor and google for add'l pricing info and reviews, as well as names of places not on Priceline. Plus lots of mapping to make sure I wouldn't be going way out of my way to save a couple bucks.
