May I rant? (you don't care, i know.)

we have a bookkeeper who comes once a week. She's always panicked about how much she needs to get through in the day, yet, she tends to come in about 10:30 in the morning. so, my empathy for her time-restrictions (which ARE very real, there's a lot of work for one day) is greatly reduced.

in addition to this, i leave all the inputting and questions and whatnot on her desk for her on Wednesdays. Most weeks something comes up either late wednesday or in thursday's mail that i don't have time to process/code/etc immediately so i plan to keep it at my desk and give it to her next week. (especially as she never gets through everything, anyway)... but, if she sees something on my desk, she'll say 'oh, i should put that in the system, picks it up, and then proceeds to ask me about 27 questions because 'she doesn't have all the info she needs.'

yes, i should *hide* things, but that's a dangerous practice as it will get forgotten and not dealt with at all.

i just said "please don't take that, i haven't dealt with it yet." her reply "i don't like leaving things like this." (it's so not critical.)
