I've been asked to take over a membership list, currently maintained on Lotus Approach(?). As a long time Excel user will I be able to adapt? -- nm

It looks like Approach is a database program not a spreadsheet, so I think the Microsoft counterpart would be Access and not Excel. -- nm

Ah, I wondered about that. I've never taken the time to mess with Access. Guess when somebody actually shows me what they've got I can decide

Depending on what you actually have to do with the database, it's not too hard to learn in general. -- nm

Access is easier than Excel, in my experience using them both -- nm

I believe this is correct. Lotus 1-2-3 was the spreadsheet program before the Lotus Office Suite was discontinued.
