I was away from home from before Christmas until this weekend - I was more worried that they would be returned unopened or something

And I will read the Palin book of course. She's not the politician for me, but one of the things that draws me to ST is the different perspectives from posters whether I agree with them or not and I'll read the book in the same spirit
