Ok. Then what you're saying is it does bother you. And if that's the case then I think many of us will stop (or at least ease off) and you should do

the same with others. I think for many people the problem they struggled with relating to Amy's comments was that they thought you were fine with it and it was all in fun. Just sort of the terms of the relationship. You give and you get back. So there was some uncertainty about changing a long established relationship with you for a complaint coming from outside the relationship. I get that she's your wife and her feelings absolutely count, but people had a hard time tying it together with their relationship with you. If you don't like it, I think others would be more apt to tone it down. But as I said, you need to do it too to change the terms of the relationships all around.
