In hopes that seeing how your post would be read by some? most? a few? as really rude, if you didn't intend it that way.
here's the analogy: a bunch of friends are hanging out, and a friend comes over and says, "you know what? i've had it with you guys once and for all, so i'm leaving and i'm not hanging out with you ever again."
if the first person to speak up says, "no man, don't go. come on, you're our friend, we want you to stay. tell us what we need to do." that is what you would expect a friend to say.
if the first person to speak up says, "well, it's been a great run. sucks you're leaving, but enjoy life." that's obnoxious. it sounds like you couldn't be bothered to find out what was wrong or try to change their minds, just... "well ok then, see ya later." i just can't imagine that someone as long-tenured and loved as Amy would say "I'm never coming back" and that is how *anyone* here would respond to that comment. it's horribly callous in my eyes.
now, you can be offended that some of us read it that way if you want, but that's my reasoning.
