i remember when watching Food Network was cool - you got to see exotic dishes, stuff you might never be able to make.. now it's "go buy some broth"

yeah.. there used to be more restaurant/chef profiles, see some of their dishes.. early Emeril was pretty creative.

I read a blog once where they took one of her 30 minute meals and had at-home chefs duplicate it.
