OK, ST, so are there any serious bloggers here? I have a question about some technical stuff on a blog I've started...

I basically need to know if there's a way to do something where, whenever I post a new post on the blog, anyone who's following it will get a notification.... I have a few friends that are looking at it, and one's actually committed to 'following' it... but I'd hate to send out a facebook note, email, or whatever, telling everyone that I just posted something new every time that I post something. (and yes, i realize that they can just check in and take a look every once in a while ... i'm not that OCD) ....
