subscribe to your feed. Their reader will update periodically and notify them of a new post. You do nothing other than post normally and the machines take care of the rest
Feedburner is an RSS-on-steroids product that adds additional features to your RSS feed like analytics (so you know who is following), social announcements (so your posts are automatically posted to Twitter), and other stuff. Facebook will also let you import RSS automatically into their Notes or as posts to a Page.
All blogger/blogspot blogs have an RSS feed option you can turn on in the settings and then I think a widget is auto added in the template for people to click on.
