like, they were all geared up to bring the ruckus the second he won, because most Democrats had been dancing on GWB's corpse and decrying his actions from the heavens for *years* before that point. so it's like a "yeah, me too!" effect that he didn't really earn, but the momentum was too strong and he's not done much to quiet it in terms of accomplishments.
